Vanroy R. Doxtater

May 23, 1935 — November 25, 2016

Vanroy “Van” R. Doxtater, 81, Lake Mary, FL, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, died on November 25, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident while hunting in Door County. Born on May 23, 1935 in Shawano, he is the son of the late Cornelius and Margaret (Schreiber) Doxtater. On August 16, 1958 he married Janet Schlise. Van owned and operated American Steel Erectors in Lake Mary for over 30 years and he built many of the most important buildings in Central Florida. Prior to his death, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and he’s now rejoicing in heaven.
Van is survived by five children, Monte (Wendy) Doxtater, Kevin (Valerie) Doxtater, both of Lake Mary, FL, Evonne (Brian) Meagher, DeBary, FL, Loren (Karen) Doxtater, De Pere, Lana (Dan) Massaro, DeBary, FL; 17 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A Journey to Eternity gathering will be held on December 3 at Crossings Community Church, 514 Walden View Dr., Sanford, Florida, at 10:00 a.m. The service begins at 11:00 a.m.
