William (Bill) J Jensen

William (Bill) J Jensen, 73 of Peshtigo, WI passed away in the morning of February 24, 2024.  Bill battled over a year with lingering medical issues that had resulted from a stroke in December of 2022.

Bill was born in Menominee, MI on April 30, 1950 to parents Nels & Marie (O'Claire) Jensen.  He went on to reside in Marinette, WI and married Sherry Fifarek on April 19, 1969.

Bill was independently employed most of his adult life and never knew the word quit.  His days were always long and his work ethic was way beyond the imagination.  Bill spent time as a commercial fisherman before transitioning to General Contracting/Construction.  Bill also owned and operated BJ’s Saloon in Menekaunee, WI back in the 1990’s.  He finished his working career as founder and owner of Harbor Labradors in Peshtigo, WI.   The passion for his dogs and kennels was of the utmost highest!  He helped provide loving 4 legged family members to hundreds of other families across the nation.  Bill mostly enjoyed his time with family and friends but was most proud of his children's accomplishments.  He had a love for the outdoors while fishing, hunting, cutting wood, running his Labs and about anything else you could enjoy as an outdoor enthusiast.  

Bill is survived by his former wife Sherry Jacques and their 3 children, "Billy" Jensen & wife Roxanne, Patrick Jensen & wife Joie and his “little girl” Missy Kmecheck & husband Jesse.  He is also survived by brothers Pete Jensen & Jack Jensen along with his sister Cheryl Jaroslawski.  Bill also had and adored his 8 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Keith Jensen.  Bill had a special friend and partner in crime Pam during his last 8 years of life.

Bill’s family would like to send special thanks to the caring staff at Residence by Rennes in Peshtigo, Bellin Health especially Dr. Paul Scott and Jessica Linsmier for their endless care and support, Unity Care and everyone else that assisted during this difficult journey.  The support from Bill's friends, his children's friends, home care workers, etc aided in extending Bill's time on precious earth.  We are grateful to each and every one of you!

Bill's children are currently working on a time and place for a "Celebration of Life" gathering.  If you knew Bill, a celebration would be on the books without exception!!
